Visas for America
E2 Business Visa
Do you have in excess of $150,000 to invest in an existing business or a start up business?
If you are a homeowner and/or have substantial assets you may have the potential to emigrate to the USA on an E2 investment visa.
The E2 Visa enables investors who are nationals of certain countries to purchase a business and live in the USA. The E2 visa allows investors to apply for entry to the United States in order to invest in and manage and coordinate the running of a business enterprise in the United States.
In order to qualify for the E2 visa, you must be a citizen of a nation that holds a treaty of trade and commerce with the USA – and the UK is one of these nations. Thousands of UK citizens emigrate to the USA (especially Florida) and one of the easiest and quickest ways to emigrate to the USA is via the E2 visa.
If you have a criminal record or have had previous immigration problems in the U.S., it is essential that you seek competent legal advice before contemplating making a journey to the United States.
Because the E2 visa is not subject to quotas, tens of thousands of applicants per year have been able to successfully emigrate to the U.S.A. on an E2 visa.
To qualify for an E2 visa as an investor, it is not necessary to have academic qualifications such as a degree or to be exceptionally talented.
How long can I stay in the US via an E2 visa?
Although an initial period of stay of two or five years is granted to persons coming to the United States in the E category, this period can be extended almost indefinitely as long as the business is still operational.
Overall, for persons who wish to live and work in the United States as proprietors of their own business, the E2 visa can be an excellent option.
Once you are settled and the business is running smoothly you should then think of buying a property.
The United States is an eclectic and diverse country. There are many backgrounds and traditions to be found, and, paradoxically, it is this very diversity which gives the United States its strong sense of its own identity and its distinctive appeal. The United States is the original "can-do" country and has reaped the rewards of steady economic growth, low unemployment and inflation, and rapid advances in technology. The American way of life is just as expansive and is based on an approach to life that believes in realising opportunities and rewarding talent and hard work.
